Este equipo de padre e hijo son fotógrafos autodidactas que trabajan para el blog JimenaPulse, dedicado a Jimena de la Frontera, un pequeño pueblo de la Serranía de Ronda sobre la que informan en detalle. Dada la naturaleza del blog, Alberto y Marcelo cubren tanto el fotoreportaje como ‘fotos bonitas’.

Nacido en Londres (1947) y criado en la Argentina, Alberto conoce Jimena desde hace más de treinta años, llegando por primera vez porque su madre inglesa eligió vivir en el pueblo. Ha vivido en países de norte- y sud america, Europa y el norte de África, pero se radicó definitivamente en el pueblo en 1991. “Sólo me iré en un cajón, cuando me toque”, afirma Bullrich. Además de la fotografía, Alberto se dedica a la traducción y a escribir – siempre que su hijo Marcelo, nacido en La Línea de la Concepción (1995) y ‘jimenato’ por naturaleza, le deje tiempo. Por su parte, Marcelo debería estar estudiando en este momento…

This father and son team are self-taught photographers working for JimenaPulse, a weblog dedicated to Jimena de la Frontera, a small village in the mountains below Ronda on which they report in detail. Given the nature of the blog, they cover reportage and photojournalism as well as ‘pretty pictures’.

Born in London (1947) and brought up in Argentina, Alberto has known Jimena for over thirty years, having come to visit his English mother, who had chosen to live in the village. After living in several countries in North and South America, North Africa and Europe, Bullrich settled in Jimena in 1991. “I’ll only leave if it’s in a box, when the time comes,” he says. Aside from photography, Alberto works as a translator and writer – as long as his son Marcelo, born in La Línea de la Concepción and a jimenato by nature, allows enough time. Marcelo, for his part, should be studying right now…
